A startup in Silicon Valley named Breathometer has created a device they call the Mint. This device is FDA approved and syncs with your phone through bluetooth and an app. The Mint resembles a large Altoid with a mouthpiece.

How it works

To start using the Mint, you first put it in your mouth and close your mouth for 30 seconds, then you bite down on the mouthpiece. This triggers the Mint to suck some of the particles from your mouth, you do not need to blow into it, and process a reading. The Mint detects volatile sulfur compounds, and other substances in your breath, which can cause health problems, and then gives you a ranking on its app. An “A” means you are healthy, and an “F” means you should see a dentist ASAP.

The Mint is an excellent new device that helps you monitor your oral health so that it is the best it can be. You can purchse it here for $100.
